Cabins & Modular Homes

24x26 Lanier Board and Batten Cabin - Tunkhannuck, PA - by Wood-TexBut this modular cabin, recently delivered to Tunkhannock, PA, sports a few differences offering more of a cottage feel.

Let’s take a look…

The most obvious and prominent feature on this cabin is the 10 foot flat shed dormer. It adds usable space on the interior, but it’s perfectly proportioned on the exterior.

On the exterior, the addition of Board & Batten siding in place of log siding appeals to the cottage feel. The Board and Batten stain color here is New Cedar, and the metal roof is Ivy Green.

And those half moon porch braces add a little more elegance to the structure.

On the interior, the cabin is finished with white washed tongue and groove on the walls and ceilings throughout, which tones down the rustic nature, and enhances the cottage look and feel.

Barb, the owner of this little beauty, was happy enough to share her thoughts with us:

Hi Matt, Sorry I have not had a moment to write you to tell you how much we are thrilled with the cottage that you and the talented staff at Wood-Tex built for us! Many of the neighbors around the lake were curious about the house, and stopped to ask about it. Andrew and the guys were amazing in their work ethic, and cleaning prior to finishing for the day.In a word - Outstanding - Wood-Tex Modular Cabin y knowledgeable, dedicated workers as well, and were very willing to help him in his efforts.

In a word- “Outstanding.”

This cottage would not have been part of our life if I had not driven by on a cold day on my way back from Rochester, and noticing the Lanier model sitting out on your north lot. Thankfully it was open to peek inside, and you were available to answer questions. I’m so glad I took the long way home that day!

This cozy place is yet another example of a customer’s ideas, dreams, and designs made into reality by our team here at Wood-Tex.

If your siding is real cedar, it should still be

OK, and repainting would be sufficient, however, if the siding is in bad condition and in need of replacing, HardiPlank is an excellent product with 50 warranty. I used it on my new shed, it's great stuff.

I live in Southern California so our problems are fire and earthquakes---each can do just as much damage to a regular, built on site home Help!

    • Manufactured homes are built on Steel Beams... Modular homes are built to the same requirements as a stick built house. Once a manufactured home is placed on property - it can be placed without a permanent foundation - i …t is important is because buying a home should be considered an investment and you want your investment to increase in value. Often times with manufactured homes the land increases in value but the home itself decreases.
