The durability and beauty of natural wood siding makes it attractive siding choice for homeowners in the Denver Metro and across Colorado. If well installed and properly maintained, wood can last the life of a building. Generally cedar, pine, spruce, redwood, cypress, or Douglas fir, wood siding is preferred by many home owners who want to retain the aesthetic charm or historical accuracy of their home. Other home owners use wood siding as an accent to stucco, fiber cement, or brick. Restoring cedar siding

There are a few things to check prior to cleaning. First, throw a cup full of water on the siding and see if it absorbs or repels. This will help you determine how well the oil has sealed the siding. There are numerous types of products to use to "brighten" the siding and restore it to it's natural color. Different parts of the country have different products that will hold up to the harsh winters and extreme summers. Best bet is to check with your local paint store, NOT the local Hardware store, paint department.
